Woke up really early to make the 8 o'clock appointment with our coordinator.. but ended up arriving around 9:30 because of the heavy Talamban/Country Mall traffic.

I love trip na trip! When I was still working in cebu, I use to stay up really late waiting for this show. It makes me more inlove with our country.
Last friday, they showed an episode about Cebu. Hmm, unfortunately this is only a one hour show (including the many commercials we have) so they only got to cover the beautiful beaches and not much of the city. But still, It's a very good episode.
This is for all our friends and family who are coming to the queen city of the south for the first time, here's an overview of all the fun that you can have! :D

I wanted to have a Top Gun theme for our Engagement(Prenup) photos. Kaye wanted something light and goofy. With balloons and bubble gum. We both agreed to do both. Luckily, our photographer Jaypee Noche of www.jaypeenoche.com was also game to do both!

Went home to finish the essential paper works for the wedding.
I'm glad that we're done with this.
The last time we went home (around feb) we also had only a week to process everything. Since most of the things require personal appearance, we've been running around Cebu to get this done. Truly very tiring. We're very lucky to have Gio's mom help us out with some of the requirements.

Doing the invitations herself was one of the first things kaye insisted on. She made all sorts of prototypes. Different shapes and sizes. She would browse the web looking for new ideas. She would excitedly show me what new ideas she found, go back to her room, and then come back with a prototype!

"One ring to bring them both and in Matrimony bind them"
Couldn't help murdering that famous phrase from The Lord of the Rings while looking at our official wedding rings!
Gifted to us by my soon to be brother-in-law, kuya Kim(no, not the weather and trivia guy from ABS). Kim, Kaye's older brother.
Thank you very much kuya Kim!
Fake Rings
We bought silver mock wedding rings. My sister stopped over here to get the rings and deliver to my kuya.
The main purpose really is for my brother to have our correct ring size for the actual wedding rings. It's his wedding gift for me and gio (aren't we lucky! hehe). Anyway, we got the mock rings complete with our names engraved in the insides. We were like little kids chuckling with new toys. We were jokingly making funny vows while putting our rings on each others hand.

Yeah yeah. We haven't had any updates recently, but we've been busy. Doesn't mean that we were neglecting our wedding preparations though. No! We've been hard at work for more than a week already!
Curious?
1 week. Do lots of stuff.

So we managed to accomplish a lot of things on our recent trip to Cebu. Felt quite proud of ourselves really.
Get confirmed(as per requirement for a Church wedding)
List of ninongs and ninangs
Entourage
Hire a coordinator
Have coordinator book our chosen videographer and photographer
Still to be done are:
Marriage License - has 120 day expiry so we'll probably get it around October
Making more monies
Looks good so far.
**Some pics of for the trip. We actually went up to Bogo and Bongdo to round up ninongs from Kaye's side.

I didn't know anything about unity candles.
I wikied it and found out that it's a "recent" addition to wedding traditions. okaay.
Aside from the fact that these candles can cost quite a lot (the pretty ones), I really didn't care much for them because Gio's parents and mine never had them and they are still very much happily married.

CNY is coming up and all of Chinatown was a buzz. There are more people now than the usual non-CNY season crowd. New stalls have also sprung up to join the festive season, selling all sorts of things from fruit jell-o's to weird and unusual thingamajigs!
Why were we in Chinatown? We'll that's where Kaye usually goes first whenever she's looking for something. That something, I can't say yet(I think) but its something to give as token of appreciation for the Ninong and Ninangs.
But then look what we found instead!
